Gerard A. Guilmette Reviews

The principle of the Guilmette School is very rude and unprofessional. The teachers are great!! The security guards are rude I wouldn't trust them crossing my children across the street. If you child shall ever be sick other than a fever then do not keep them home. The principle will make sure she sends the officials to your door and call you all day begging to bring the student in to take a test that can easily be made up the following day just so she is not bothered to do make ups. Children do get sick other than a fever. My daughter suffers from restless leg syndrome. Would you rather have a tired child taking her MCAS or let her rest and make it up the following day...Think of how my child feels not yourself. No snacks for the students during the day and no public buses. Sick!

It is not a happy place and is not a good learning environment. I do not recommend any parent send their child to the Guilmette School.

The Guilmette School has many great teachers with awesome energy. There are some activities concerning sports but I wish there were more though. The children need motivation because there are alot of negative images in that community. The teachers try to do the best they can to do so. Highschool oppotunities are great. There are many programs concerning that. One thing they can improve in is the curriculum when it comes to subjects and how long the teachers take to move on . The children get caught up many times on different things such as peer pressure and dont pay attention to the class work that much, because the teachers take too long to move on to the next topic. All in all, The Guilmette is an awesome school that has great technology and many chances for students to succed, you just have to concentrate really hard and be independent.
